As of right now, things here are oh so quiet, but within in the next few hours, things will change dramatically for our little family and home. Winds will start to pick up, rain will start to fall, and our power is most likely to go out. I've been busy, busy, busy--cleaning gutters, doing load after load of laundry, buying supplies (batteries, water, toilet paper, flashlights, etc.), and countless other chores in preparation of our weekend guest--Miss Hurricane Irene.
It's likely we'll all be without power for the next few days, so I hope to begin blogging again next week, which promises to be just as busy. Good busy, with the start of a new school year, in which not one but two of my babies will be attending elementary school. And if you're on the East Coast like us, be safe! Irene promises to be an unpleasant visitor.
